Ok, here's the 2nd part of our camping trip at Ubin...
Nice clouds in the form of a doggy
After just finished settling down at our camp site, we played some cards game and took some pictures and even explored the place a little. By evening time, Rae say she had to go back. So Da Mark and me offered to send her off to the jetty, taking the bikes with us. Heez. I tagged along cos i need to purchase a bottle of kerosene for our lantern. Oso, Da Mark might need my help bringing the bicycle back.
Anyway, we had a good time cycling to the jetty without the loads on my back! Playful Mark was obviously trying to impress Rae with his cycling stunts. Haha.. at least, that what i thought he's doing. Once at the jetty, we waited with Rae for her ride. After she finally left, we went to a nearby shop house to get our stuff and ordered the local coconut! Heez. It was nice except for the fresh which was very touch!!! But Da Mark seen to be enjoying it very much saying he is feeling heaty. Haha. Lol.
Rae n Da Mark at the Jetty! Poor Da Mark!
Da Mark digging his coconut! Haha...
By the time we reached the camp site, the sky was already dark even thou it was around 6 pm and had even started drizzling lightly, the guys actually managed to start the fire going. But because they went searching for some woods and weren't around, stupid me have to come up with some stupid idea to save the fire from the rain by covering the charcoal with sand to kill the fire so that i could eventually place the water proof mat over the pit to salvage the charcoals. Stupid! I guess it served me right for being scolded by mark when he came back from his woods collecting. Sorry man... i really din mean it. Signz....
After that, too ashamed to face the rest, i went to the nearby house shop to ask for help to light up the kerosene lantern. Barely reach the place when it starts pouring heavily... a part of me seen lost then as i stare out into the pouring sky...
The guys restarting the fire again... sorry guys!!!
The fire eventually start burning nicely. By then all of us were hungry!!
When i walked back to the site, the rain had just come to a light drizzles. I helped in setting the fire while others were bringing out the food to prepare for dinner. We had a simple meal consisting of breads, canned sardines, hot dogs and pumpkin soup (only i drank it). We even boiled water in our mess tin for our cup noodles. Oh ya! Almost forgot we even had mash mallows which only few people knows how to appreciate them. Heez.
Me cutting in while Irene n Mark were taking pic! Heehee...
For the rest of the night, we chatted and joked while sitting around the fire place. We even had the opportunity to wash ourself in the toilet before bedtime. Now bare in mind that the toilets there were not mean for bathing. Wahaha! It was hilarious when 3 guys without any clothes were bathing together in the confined toilets. We had to squad down to gather water from the tap to wash ourselves! Fortunately the toilets were clran. It's quite an experience actually! We all felt refreshed after that and a change of clothes! Yippe!! After going back, we took somemore pictures before finally going back to sleep. It was almost 1 am the next morning then. Hope i din bothered the rest with my loud snoring especially Da Mark who is sharing the tent with me. Paiseh paiseh.
Da Mark n Me taking a Pic during sun set! Nice!!
Hee. Da Mark look so stern and like a monk in this pic! LOL!
Bernard n Grace in their cozy tent! Wondered if they did any hanky panky that nite?!?!
